English: Routemaster bus RML2620 (reg. NML 620E) was delivered to London Transport in May 1967. After being sent to Preston to be filmed, it entered service later that month, out of Holloway garage on route 14. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Cummins) and refurbished. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of MTL London (ex-London Northern), which was bought by Metroline in 1998. After wearing several different MTL/Metrline liveries, by May 2000 it had been painted into the Metroline scheme of red with blue skirt. From March to November 2002 it wore a gold livery (using vinyls) as one of several buses so treated as a celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Elizabeth II. By March 2004 it was withdrawn from service, having latterly been allocated to King's Cross outstation for route 390, whereupon it was immediately bought for preservatation.
