Spanish Armada

English: The Spanish Armada was a fleet sent by King Philip II of Spain in 1588 in a failed attempt to bring an end to his war with England by forcing the English government to a peace advantageous to Spain.
Español: La Grande y Felicísima Armada, también conocida como Armada Invencible, fue una importante flota enviada por el rey de España Felipe II en 1588 con el fallido intento de invadir Inglaterra, forzar al gobierno inglés a firmar una paz ventajosa para España y poder controlar así la política exterior inglesa (principalmente en lo referente a la piratería y la guerra de Flandes).
