The Ambassadors (1533), painting by Hans Holbein the Younger (1497–1543) with the portraits of Jean de Dinteville, French ambassador to the court of Henry VIII of England, and Georges de Selve, bishop of Lavaur. The painting is famous for including, in the foreground at the bottom, the anamorphosis of a human skull that becomes visible from a very shallow angle, from bottom right to bottom left.
