Isn't this template a duplicate of {{GFDL/it}}? Shouldn't it redirect there? --Waldir talk 21:27, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, the disclaimer makes this impossible. Multichill (talk) 10:21, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

It seems that someone has redirected this template to {{GFDL-en}}. This makes it a copyright violation to host files with this template as {{GFDL-en}} links to the English-language disclaimer whereas files with this template are required to have a link to the Italian-language disclaimer. This needs to be reverted as soon as possible. If the redirect has led to some uses of {{GFDL-it}} accidentally having been changed into {{GFDL-en}} on the file information pages, then this must be reverted too. --Stefan4 (talk) 18:47, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not a copyvio as it's just a translation of the general Wikipedia disclaimer. So linking to the english version is correct..--Denniss (talk) 20:05, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No. You must "Preserve in that license notice the full lists of Invariant Sections and required Cover Texts given in the Document's license notice." If you modify the disclaimer, for example by translating it to another language, then you change the disclaimer. You can only link to the disclaimer in the same language as the licensor chose to link to. --Stefan4 (talk) 20:16, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
