My name is Emeka Ilechukwu. I was born on the 11th of August 1975 in Nnewi Anambra state. I hold Higher National Diploma in Fine Arts from the art school Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, Enugu state Nigeria where I majored in sculpture. I was the best graduating student of 1996/97 in Sculpture.

I have been drawing, sculpting and painting as far back as I can remember. My motivation comes largely from inner vision, desire to solve problems, and the influences my environment has on me.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I use various media (wood, metal, clay, mortar, Plastic, thread, acrylic, oil, pastel, canvas, paper ) to express my robust and creative ideas drawn from careful observation of things happening around me. My works revolves around finding those ingredients that inspire hope, motivation and courage.

Consequently, I attempt to dissect the opposing forces in life, light and darkness, good and evil, positives and negatives thereby bringing out didactic points to ponder on. I believe in making visual statements that add eternal value to the world.

I have done 5 Solo Exhibitions, over 50 Salon Exhibitions and have participated in over thirteen group exhibitions. My works have been collected by quite a number of notable collectors and art lovers around the world.

I am also the Senior Partner Emeka Ilechukwu and Associates, an initiative that creates and exhibits artworks. Married to Desola my good friend and partner in the business of art. We are blessed with 4 children
