Hello,

Some time ago one of your great images has been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons: <http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Image%3AA_single_white_feather_closeup.jpg>. Wikimedia Commons is a free media repository, which allows all Wikimedia projects in all languages to use your image. And as you can see, the image is used on quite a lot of projects: <http://tools.wikimedia.de/~daniel/WikiSense/CheckUsage.php?i=A_single_white_feather_closeup.jpg&w=_100000>.

With Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, we are trying to create a world in which all knowledge is freely available to every person in the world. Unfortunately, this means that starting from 1 July we will have to delete all sxc images that are not explicitly licensed under a free license. The images must be available under a free license: a license that allows the unlimited redistribution, commercial use and modification by anyone for any purpose.

You can prevent the picture from being deleted. But then it will be available for use and modification (even commercial) inside and outside of Wikipedia as well. But your name will always be credited!

If you agree with these conditions, I will license the picture under GNU FDL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GFDL) and CC-BY-SA (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/).
