This is a long-term project to improve the quality of material relating to Dartmoor. This page and its subpages consist of a set of checklists of desired images, as well as some information about the features. The primary goal here is to get photographs, not to make lists, but as this is in the initial stages the lists need significant expansion to cover the important stuff.

These pages are not for listing every image of the moor, that is what the categories are for. Furthermore, if an image is included here it should meet two standards:

1. Be of a sufficient resolution to become a Quality image - that is over 2 megapixels.
2. Be correctly Geotagged.

Ultimately if every item in the lists has an associated image meeting the above standards, then Commons will have all the photographs it could need to illustrate any topic related to Dartmoor. Well... I doubt we will get a picture of the Hairy hands :)

Non-photographic media

At present, this project is primarily concerned with photographs of Dartmoor. Other media will be addressed in the longer term. However, a base image suitable for locator maps is desired as soon as practical.

Galleries

Again, these are a long term objective. As the worklists get filled in, this will enable the mainspace galleries to be improved.
