These postcards were sent from my great-grandfather, Charles H. Mitchell, to my great-grandmother, Mala Rodger. They were sent before and after they were married, during the golden era of postcards. He worked for a railroad and traveled throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

Built in 1894 and Dayton's only high school until 1906. It stood at the southeast corner of Monument and Main Streets and closed in the late 1930's and was demolished in the late '40's.
