P6E Replica Plans #27 under construction

Hello, My name is Bryan Austin and I was the builder of Hawk plans number 27 until I sold the project in 2007. As of that date there were four Hawks completed of which two have crashed and reported destroyed due to engine and/or engine mount failures NOT related to Don's design. There were at least three more projects well underway.

During my time building the Hawk I was in contact with Mrs Sauser before she passed away and was able to acquire the original test flight report and the engine cowling mold. I was also the curator of the Curtiss P-6E Hawk website dedicated to both the original full scale and the 82% scale Hawks. I still have all my files to include old contact information with know builders, parts suppliers and the curator of Ralph Rosanik's full scale replica in the EAA Museum.

I have not talked to anyone in at least four years about the Hawks so I do not know current status' on any Hawks.

Sincerely, Bryan
