Hello, this is Wandering Diode. In the past when I myself have been looking for images that I can use for free on Wikimedia Commons, I have found it quite confusing when it comes to the part of how I actually credit the copyright holder.

With so many different licensing types, and not knowing whether to link directly to the image file, Author page or website, it can be confusing. So I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know how to credit me with my images, in a manner that's not too intrusive.

For any image that I upload, as long as you post a link back to the original website where it came from (The "source" link from the Wiki page where the image is located), that is fine. If there isn't a link in the source section of the Wiki page, provide a link to the author (this page) instead.

All images uploaded to wikimedia.org are my own work. I am the content creator. If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you.
