I wish you could have talked to me first, rather than making the assumption you've made. I don't, in any way, condone this whole "outing" business. Not in any way, ever, no matter what the excuse. I don't know how it got to that point (and I'm not sure I want to), but please don't mistake my actions on WV as a validation of that behavior. I tried to explain a bit here, and would be happy to clarify anything you need clarified.
By and large, the Wikimedians are a good lot. A good number of the people voting for me have seen me in action before, and have seen that my quiet (and aggravatingly slow) way of doing things actually gets the job done.
I'm frankly disgusted by the things that were done to you. I wish I could help in some concrete way, but it's unlikely that I ever could. I'd like to think I can help prevent it happening to someone else though. The block/ban/delete methods have been tried again and again, and it's like playing wack-a-mole... the problem just continues somewhere else.
