Photos from Wikimanina[edit]
Hi Mikie, like Eugene said before, we need author/source information for every pic. Sadly at least two of the pics you uploaded (Image:Mitch Kapor.jpg and Image:Wiki Way.jpg) have non-commercial licenses. This is not allowed on Wikimedia Commons, so most probably they will be removed :-(. --Avatar 09:23, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
Hello, so I will repeat what I said on irc and on the pump, Mirkie is very gently helping us to get back some of the pictures uploaded on flickr of Wikimania. I would ***deeply*** appreciate that none of these images is deleted on sight, or I will really be upset. If necessary I will ask Ross Mayfield if he agrees to put his images under a commercial license. But I want to insist on two things
- Wikimania was a Wikimedia Foundation event
- and most people uploaded their images on Flickr.
And this is NOT something making me very happy. So any relevant images will be put on meta if necessary. Thanks for not giving us double work in looking and uploading twice images that wikipedians did not even take the trouble of uploading themselves.
