Baptist church St. Bernard Parish category[edit]

Good day. In this edit [1] while adding information with a category for the state the damaged Baptist church is in, you also removed the category identifying the location of the church in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana. I think it would have been better not to have removed that category when adding the new one, and I can see no reason for the removal, so I have restored that category. Cheers, -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 17:16, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

PS: In case you didn't know, "Parish" in this case is a geographic & political subdivision in the statue of Louisiana, similar to how most other US states are divided into "counties". Thanks for your attention. Cheers, -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 17:19, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Infrogmation (talk · contribs). I'm sorry for that. I have now filed the photo in (Damaged Baptist churches in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana). I knew this information about the geographic & political subdivision in Louisiana, but thanks. I would like to visit this state one day, God willing. Thanks for your help. My best wishes of peace and love (Wikipedia:WikiLove).--Nathan B2 (talk) 14:45, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Churches in Sydney[edit]

Hey, I’m trying to get photos of as many churches (and synagogues, mosques and temples for that matter) in Sydney. Do you have any in particular you would like me to take photos of? - Chris.sherlock2 (talk) 00:26, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Chris.sherlock2 (talk · contribs). Thanks for the info, that's cool! Sorry for the delay. If it is not too late, I recommend new church buildings opened recently in Sydney, as it demonstrates the vitality of the Christian faith in the 21st century; Macquarie Baptist Church next to Macquarie University, and Morling College (Baptist college) next to Macquarie Baptist Church, Toongabbie Baptist Church, Girraween, Faith Baptist Church, Regents Park and Emmanuel Baptist Church, Glenwood. Moreover, the social commitments of these churches make them inspiring churches. Thanks for your help. My best wishes of peace and love (Wikipedia:WikiLove).--Nathan B2 (talk) 14:47, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Nathan, I’ll try and get to those churches soon, in the meantime I got some historic churches in Luddenham, Wallacia and Greendale. - Chris.sherlock2 (talk) 17:37, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lakeshore Church[edit]

I know there's more than one "Lakeshore Church" here in New Orleans, and suspect there are others elsewhere, so I moved the category "Lakeshore Church" you created to Category:Lakeshore Church, Hammond Highway, New Orleans. I had previously categorized it as Category:Pontchartrain Baptist Church, New Orleans, which was the building's former name. Do we need to create new categories every time a church building changes name? If there is policy on that, could you please direct me to it? What is the best way to designate continuity of a building - street address occurs to me, but there are also times when a building is demolished and a new building is built at same address - thoughts on how those different situations should be handled? -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 21:03, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Infrogmation (talk · contribs). Thank you for your message. Regarding your question, I think your first tag for Category:Pontchartrain Baptist Church, New Orleans was good. However, the new changes are more precise, so it's a good idea. I will try to do the same thing for a similar case. I just added this category to differentiate the photos of the hurricane damaged building. I found Commons:Categories#Categorization_tips which gives some clues on the subject (Examples: Category:Warsaw in September 1939), without directly answering the same question. But in conclusion, I understand that new categories can be created when several photos of the same subject cover a distinct event. However, this does not seem to be an obligation. It was nice talking to you again. Thanks for your help. My best wishes of peace and love (Wikipedia:WikiLove).--Nathan B2 (talk) 20:08, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
