L456 JCK is the solitary Volvo B10L bus bodied by Swedish manufacturer Säffle, a Volvo subsidiary. Launched 31 May 1994, it was the right hand drive (dual-doored) demonstrator of their new low floor chassis. The Säffle body was later produced under license as the Alexander (Belfast) Ultra.

  • It first went on long term loan to Sheffield Mainline (as their fleetno. 403), who operated in a white livery.
  • From June 1995 it was loaned to Lothian Buses (156), who operated it in their madder & white livery. At Lothian it was badged as an Alexander bodied bus.
  • In January 1998 it was sold to Yorkshire Traction Group, who had the centre door removed by East Lancashire Coachbuilders. They put the bus into service with Andrews Sheffield Omnibus (2338) in their blue and cream livery.
  • In February 2001 it was transferred within the Traction group to Lincolnshire Road Car (894), who operated it in their red/yellow/blue livery.
  • After Traction was sold to Stagecoach in 2005, the bus gained Stagecoach corporate livery, operating as Stagecoach in Lincolnshire (21076) (Stagecoach East Midlands).
  • In September 2009 it was sold to Ensignbus (705), who re-registered it with the cherished plate GVV 205, and put it into service in their blue & silver livery.
  • In November 2010, after being returned to the original registration L456 JCK, it was sold to Woottens Coaches, who put it into service with their Tiger Line Buses (W72) local bus division, still in Ensign base colours.
  • In August 2012 it was sold to Seaford & District (403), who operated it in their green & cream livery.
  • In August 2014 it was sold to Carters Coach Service (256).
  • In July 2015 it was sold For Preservation In Essex in the Seaford and District Livery.
