English: “The Echo Boy” is a bronze statue by Barry Moloney which was unveiled on 8 December 1991 by Councillor Denis (Dino) Gregan, Lord Mayor of Cork, at Cork Street. The statue was moved in 2004 to its present location at 95 Saint Patrick Street. The statue commemorates 150 years of the Cork Examiner and 100 years of the Evening Echo.
