English: 56-0740 is a United States Air Force/Army serial number assigned to a Lockheed F-104A-5-LO Starfighter (MSN 183-1028). The aircraft was loaned to the United States Navy and served at NOTS China Lake as part of the development effort for the AIM-9 Sidewinder missile. It crashed on 22 Sep 1960, killing the pilot.
