Deutsch: 1528 Auftrag von Herzog Wilhelm IV. von Bayern und seiner Frau Jacobaea von Baden als Teil eines Historienzyklus vermutlich für die Münchner Residenz. Aus der herzoglichen Kunstkammer in München. Als Napoleon Gefallen fand an diesem Gemälde, ließ er es 1800 aus der Schlossanlage Schleißheim nach Frankreich bringen und in seinem Badezimmer in St-Cloud aufhängen. Friedrich Schlegel sah es 1803 im Restaurierungssaal des Musée Napoléon. |
