The twelve golden rhombi of the Bilinski dodecahedron are of three different kinds:

  • 2 with red and blue vertices (horizontal)
  • 2 with green and blue vertices (vertical)
  • 8 with all vertex colors (slanted)

The orthographic projections are characterized by which rhombi vanish in them.

Two orthographic projections look like golden rhombohedra. Their outer edges are vanished rhombi, and their outer points are vanished edges.
The obtuse one is seen from a low position in front, so that 2 red-black and 4 green-blue edges vanish.
The acute one is seen from a low position on the side, so that 2 green-black and 4 red-blue edges vanish.

The projection with a rhombic outline corresponds to this 4×4 matrix when the two inner vertices are present. The ratio of this rhombus is .

These images have been raytraced with POV-Ray. The source is here. (This file shows the indices of the array of points.)
For the orthographic projections the camera is always in front, and the solid is rotated accordingly using RotateDirOnDir, which depends on RotMatFromVectorAndAngle.
