English: The Cloud Platform at Juyongguan — near the Great Wall of China at Juyongguan in Changping District, 60 kilometers (31 mi) northwest of Beijing, China.
  • The platform was built in 1342 CE, during the Yuan Dynasty, as the base of three white marble pagodas, with a passageway running under it. The three pagodas were destroyed in succession during the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties.
  • They were replaced on the platform by a Buddhist temple hall in the early Ming Dynasty. The hall was destroyed in 1702 during the Qing Dynasty, and now only the original stone platform remains.
  • The Cloud Platform has Buddhist figures and symbols in relief carvings, as well as Buddhist texts written in Sanskrit, Tibetan, Phags-pa, Uyghur, Tangut, and Chinese.
