English: Engel is a melodic death metal band with alternative influences from Gothenburg, Sweden. Engel Are: Niclas Engelin, Marcus Sunneson, Steve Drennan, Magnus Klavborn, Jimmy Olausson. They are often referred to in the media as being Gothenburgs Super Group because of the bands pedigree and associations with other Swedish acts and their ability to step in and help them out noteably In Flames, Amon Amarth, The Haunted, The Crown.

Svenska: Engel är ett industrial metal-band från Göteborg som grundades 2004. Debutalbumet Absolute Design gavs ut i november 2007. Engel har turnerat runt om i Europa med band som In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Atreyu och Dark Tranquillity. Bandets andra fullängdsskiva, Threnody, släpptes i Japan våren 2010 och i Europa i november samma år.
