English: Enoch & Cie is one of the main musical french publishers in Paris (France), fl. between 1880 and 1950, and still in production. This company was founded by the German salesman Carl Enoch (1810-1883), in 1853 in Paris. Carl worked for Litolff. At the « Belle Époque » era, when the second son of Carl, Wilhelm [Guillaume] took over the company with Georges Costallat (1844-1901) as a partnership, Enoch produced sheet music, and materials for cabaret Le Chat Noir, among many others, illustrated by famous graphic artists. Charles Enoch, the second son of Carl, established a branch office in London in 1867 (sold in 1927). Under the WWII, the nazi regime killed one of the owners, Daniel, and his family.
