Deutsch: Das Exzessvolumen vE ist die Differenz zwischen dem realen Volumen einer Mischung (entspricht der Summe der partiellen molaren Volumen der Komponenten, engl. "partial molar volume") chemischer Stoffe und dem idealen Volumen, das der Summe der Volumina aller Komponenten vor dem Mischen entspricht (Summe der Reinstoffvolumina).
English: The Excess volume vE is the difference between the real Volume of a mixture (meaning the sum of the partial molar volumes of the components) of chemical substances and the ideal volume, meaning the sum of the volumes of all components before mixing.
