Description
Français : Tombe de Marc et Victor Schoelcher au cimetière du Père-Lachaise à Paris. Le monument est composé d'une stèle en bronze réalisée par A. Fromager. Elle représente un industriel dialoguant avec un des ouvriers de la fabrique de porcelaine. Un médaillon en bronze réalisé par E. Hannaux est situé en bas du monument. Il représente le portrait de Victor Schoelcher.
Italiano: Tomba di Marc e Victor Schoelcher al cimitero di Père-Lachaise a Parigi. Il monumento è costituito da una stele di bronzo di A. Fromager. Essa rappresenta un industriale che dialoga con gli operai di una fabbrica di porcellana. Un medaglione di bronzo realizzato da E. Hannaux è situato alla base del monumento. Si tratta del ritratto di Victor Schoelcher.

Object history
Français : Mort en 1832, Marc Schoelcher bénéficia d'une inhumation provisoire. Les enfants (Victor et son aîné Marc-Antoine) purent financer le monument grâce à l'héritage de leur mère morte en 1839. Sculpture réalisée en 1840 à l'occasion du Salon puis installé sur le tombeau de Marc Schoelcher en 1841. Son fils y fut enterré en 1894 et le médaillon fut rajouté. Le 20 mai 1949 furent transférés les restes de Marc et Victor Schoelcher au Panthéon à l'initiative du président Gaston Monnerville.
Italiano: Morto nel 1832, Marc Schoelcher ha goduto di una sepoltura temporanea. I figli (Victor e il suo maggiore Marc-Antoine) poterono finanziare il monumento grazie all'eredità della madre morta nel 1839. Scultura realizzata in occasione del Salon del 1840 e poi installata sulla tomba di Marc Schoelcher nel 1841. Quando suo figlio vi fu sepolto nel 1894 il medaglione vi fu aggiunto. Il 20 Maggio 1949 i resti di Marc e Victor Schoelcher sono stati trasferiti al Pantheon su iniziativa del Presidente Gaston Monnerville.
