English: John I of Castile (Spanish: Juan I de Castilla; Épila o Tamarite de Litera, 24 August 1358 – Alcalá de Henares, 9 October 1390) was King of the Crown of Castile from 1379 until 1390. He was the son of the king Henry II of Castile and of his wife Juana Manuel of Villena. He was the last Spanish monarch to receive a formal coronation.

Español: Juan I de Castilla (Épila o Tamarite de Litera, 1358 - Alcalá de Henares, 9 de octubre de 1390), fue rey de Castilla y León desde el 24 de agosto de 1379 hasta su muerte, ocurrida el día 9 de octubre de 1390 en la ciudad de Alcalá de Henares, y fue hijo del rey Enrique II de Castilla y de la reina Juana Manuel de Villena, que era hija a su vez del célebre escritor y magnate Don Juan Manuel. Juan I de Castilla nació en el reino de Aragón durante el destierro de su padre, que aún no era rey. Además, Juan I de Castilla fue el último rey castellano que fue coronado solemnemente, ya que después de él los monarcas asumieron la dignidad real simplemente por proclamación y aclamación.
