Kallmünzer sind Blöcke aus verkieseltem Sandstein, die man im Bereich der Fränkischen Alb in Wald und Flur vorfindet. Es handelt sich Relikte aus der Oberkreidezeit, die aufgrund ihrer hohen Beständigkeit gegen Verwitterung häufig auf wesentlich älterer Unterlage zu finden sind.
Kallmünzer are a special kind of sandstone (with quartzite cement), found especially in that part of Bavaria, that ist called the "Fränkische Alb".
