English: The King's Manor, York. Former abbot's house of nearby St Mary's Abbey. C15 origins. Multiple later uses including offices of the King's Council of the North, royal residence, and Yorkshire School for the Blind 1833-1958. Currently occupied by the Department of Archaeology, University of York, since 1964. Grade I listed.
