MAN SG 220 articulated city buses built in Germany (1978–1983; MAN bodies built for the U.S.A. before April 1979 were fitted-out by AM General) and MAN SG 220 Avtomontaža city buses built in Ljubljana, Jugoslavija-Slovenija (1979-1991).
Model numbers include the type (SG = stadt gelenke), generation, length (in meters), and doors, so a SG 220-18-3 is an 18-metre (59 ft) long articulated bus with three doors. The SG 220 was offered in both 16.5-and-18-metre (54 and 59 ft) lengths.
