The Category:McFarlan Motor Car Company was founded in 1856 as the McFarlan Carriage Company. It manufactured a high class automobile from 1913 until 1928. A large amount of business was coachbuild for other makes, Duesenberg bein one of them.

The assets of the company were taken over by Erret Lobban Cord who used the plant, together with the adjacent Central Manufacturing Company premises for making automobile coachwork for Cord Corporation. These were mostly factory bodies for Auburn (including Speedsters), and a few Duesenberg custom bodies.
