Nescopeck Creek is a tributary of the Susquehanna River in w:Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. The westward draining watercourse rises in the town of w:Hazelton, Pennsylvania which sits astride a mountain pass and drainage divide; and the stream's valley gave purchase to the 1805 Lausanne-Nescopeck Turnpike connecting the Susquehanna's and the Lehigh River valleys, today mostly the path of Pennsylvania Route 93 that once connected the Lehigh Valley to the Susquehanna Valley, and allowed connection of Philadelphia to Tioga, New York (and Lake Erie, at Buffalo, NY).
