Deutsch: Der Landkreis Schlochau (so 1939-1945, davor schlicht Kreis Schlochau) wurde am 1. April 1818 als Kreis im Regierungsbezirk Marienwerder eingerichtet. Ab 1919 gehörte er zum Regierungsbezirk Schneidemühl (entstanden durch Verlegung der Bezirksregierung Bromberg von jener Stadt nach Schneidemühl), der am 1. Oktober 1938 im Zuge einer Gebietsumgliederung in Regierungsbezirk Grenzmark Posen-Westpreußen umbenannt wurde. Im Zuge der Eroberung des Gebietes durch die Rote Armee ging der Landkreis unter.
English: The Schlochau District (in German 1939-1945: Landkreis Schlochau [i.e. Schlochau rural district], 1818-1938: simply Kreis Schlochau [i.e. Schlochau district]) was established as a district on 1 April 1818 and formed a component district of the Marienwerder Region till 1919. Then the district became part of the new Schneidemühl Region, created through moving the Bromberg regional government to Schneidemühl. The borders of this region were redrawn, ceding some exclaves and gaining some additional districts, on 1 October 1938 renaming it as Frontier March of Posen-West Prussia Region, then seized by Pomerania. In the course of the Soviet conquest in early 1945 the district and its administration fell down.
