English: Prince Yamagata Aritomo (山県 有朋, June 14, 1838 – February 1, 1922) was a Japanese politician and army officer during the Meiji era and Taisho era, and a retainer of the Mōri clan. He served as the 3rd (December 24, 1889 – May 6, 1891) and 9th (November 8, 1898 – October 19, 1900) Prime Minister of Japan.
