Strong oppose to this!!! --Ragimiri (talk) 22:51, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
And if we have here Category:Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris (which is on en:wiki translated as Our Lady of Paris) or Category:Zürichsee (Lake Zurich on en:wiki), I don't see reason for renaming church which is originally named in Czech. --Ragimiri (talk) 20:52, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Support. Few people outside the Czech Republic will know what this name means. Use English please, as is customary on Commons. Wknight94 talk 21:31, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
What is the right English spelling of the name "Václav"? We have en:Wenceslas Square and Saint Wenceslas but also en:Wenceslaus I, Duke of Bohemia. Disunity of English form can be seen as a problem in relation to that category names should be predictable. --ŠJů (talk) 01:26, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Generally, the local form of the saint's name and the verbatim wording of the patrocinium is a notable component of the church identity many times. For example, the French patrocinium "Notre-Dame" is mostly used without translation in other languages even thought it is no difficult to translate. --ŠJů (talk) 01:33, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
