In der Hauptstadt der DDR, Berlin, wurde am 11.12.1971 das "Abkommen zwischen der Regierung der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik und der Regierung der Bundesrepublik Deutschland über dem Transitverkehr von Zivilen Personen und Gütern zwischen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und Berlin (West)" durch den Staatssekretär beim Ministeramt der DDR Dr. Michael Kohl (r.), und den Staatssekretär im Bundeskanzleramt der BRD, Egon Bahr (l.), im Auftrag ihrer Regierungen paraphiert.
