Summary[edit]

Description
English: A graphical model of the Routine activity theory developed by Marcus Felson and Lawrence E. Cohen. The routine activity theory stipulates three nececassary conditions for most crime; a likely offender, a suitable target, and the absence of a capable guardian, coming together in time and space. In other words: for a crime to occour, a likely offender must find a suitable target with capable guardians absent.

This image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Routine activity theory.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
