Description

Admiral Corporation was founded by Ross D. Siragusa (1906-1996), an Italian immigrant and son of a cobbler. It started making televisions in 1948.

When Siragusa retired in 1969, Admiral Corp. was an international giant with 14,000 employees globally.

The Admiral brand name is currently owned by Whirlpool,
