Summary[edit]

Description
English: An excerpt from folio 40v of the Chronicle of Mann containing the names of Áengus mac Somairle (died 1210), and his brother, Ragnall mac Somairle (died between 1192–1227). The excerpt reads in Latin: "... Anno MCXCII. Commissum est bellum inter filios Sumerledi Reginaldum et Engus, in quo bello multi vulnerati corruerunt. Engus tamen victoriam obtinuit". This translates to "... In the year 1190, there was a contest between the sons of Somairle, Ragnall, and Áengus, in which many were wounded and fell, but Áengus gained the victory".
