«ÉGLISE SAINT-CHARLES-BORROMÉE
Cette église fut érigée de 1826 à 1830 selon des plans de l'architecte Thomas Baillargé, en collaboration avec l'abbé Jérôme Demers, théoricien de l'architecture et supérieur du Séminaire de Québec. Elle constitue un bel exemple du renouveau classique préconisé par ces derniers, tant par sa façade rigoureusement ordonnée à l'effet monumental que par sa décoration intérieure. Celle-ci, conçue par Thomas Baillargé et exécutée par son élève, André Pâquet, comprend des statues de saint Pierre et de saint Paul, œuvres exceptionnels de Pierre-Noël Levasseur, datées de 1742-1743. L'Église, dont la construction s'acheva en 1887 avec l'érection d'une seconde sacristie, fut classée en 1959 par la Commission des monuments historiques du Québec.»
