Épernay (Marne)

Avenue de Champagne.

Etablissement vinicole Pol Roger et Cie.

Bâtiments construits sur les plans de l'architecte F. Gallot en 1930 et 1931.

Le champagne Pol Roger était le favori de Winston-Churchill. L'Angleterre reste un marché très important de la maison, avec la Suède et les Etats-Unis.

Le 23 février 1900, un grave glissement de terrain, vers la rue Godart-Roger, ensevelit une partie des caves de Pol Roger avec les bouteilles qui s'y trouvaient.
