English: The yard of the monastery of Agia Lavra, where Greek revolutionaries gathered to declare the beginning of the Greek War of Independence, on 25th March, 1821. The chapel where they took the oath "Eleftheria í Thanatos" can be seen in the background.
Ελληνικά: Η αυλή της μονής της Αγίας Λαύρας, όπου συγκεντρώθηκαν οι Έλληνες επαναστάτες στις 25 Μαρτίου 1821 για να κηρύξουν την επανάσταση. Στο βάθος διακρίνεται το εκκλησάκι στο οποίο ο Παλαιών Πατρών Γερμανός ευλόγησε τον Αγώνα. |
