Ελληνικά: Η παλαμαριά αποτελεί αγροτικό εργαλείο θερισμού των δημητριακών, που χρησιμοποιούνταν κατά την προβιομηχανική εποχή. Είναι μια ξύλινη χειρολαβή, η οποία διαθέτει τρεις εσοχές για να εφαρμόζουν τα τρία δάχτυλα του χεριού και μια ξύλινη προέκταση που ακουμπά στο επάνω μέρος της παλάμης. Το εργαλείο αυτό προστάτευε από τους τραυματισμούς του δρεπανιού και το δάγκωμα των φιδιών και ταυτόχρονα «μεγάλωνε» την παλάμη, ώστε να θερίζονται περισσότερα στάχυα.

English: The palamaria is an agricultural tool for harvesting cereals, which was used during the pre-industrial era. It is a wooden handle with three recesses for the three fingers of the hand and a wooden extension that rests on the top of the palm. This tool protected against sickle and snake bite injuries and at the same time "enlarged" the palm so that more ears of corn could be harvested.
