Summary

Description
English: The the children singing songs in front of the doors which come the night before Christmas Eve or early morning are a symbol, that is, they are harbingers and bring the news of Christ's birth. In Christianity, in fact, Christmas and Christmas Eve are the same holiday and thus the celebration of the birth of Christ begins.

In the evening before Christmas Eve, the first the children singing songs in front of the doors light the fire and sing songs, dancing and drinking hot brandy. In this way, evil spirits are "chased" from the earth. The next day, on the great Christian holiday of Christmas Eve, small children dressed in masks go to neighbors' homes, knock on doors and sing carols.

According to tradition, the hostsfor that they reward them with cakes, chestnuts, nuts, apples and some money.
