Description
Українська: Веслоноге ракоподібне Acanthocyclops cf. vernalis в поляризованому світлі. Світятся ті області які мають здатність до подвійного заломлення світла, а це м'язи, які проходять через усе тіло, і хитинова кутикула. Ракоподібне зеленого кольору тому що на ньому живуть сотні одноклітинних водорослей. Існує версія що це симбіотичні стосунки. оскільки ракоподібне дихае усім тілом, імовірно, він може поглинати кисень який виділяють водорості. А самі водорості отримують азотовмісні продукти для свого росту.
English: Copepod Acanthocyclops cf. vernalis in polarized light.
