Description
Русский: 1 мая 1813 года — основано «Войсковое Казачье училище» по инициативе начальника Сибирской пограничной линии и командира Отдельного Сибирского корпуса генерал-лейтенанта Григория Ивановича Глазенапа. Сначала день основания кадетского корпуса ошибочно отсчитывался с 26 августа 1826 года, но историческая комиссия корпуса при содействии директора генерал-лейтенанта А. А. Медведева документально доказала неосновательность этого счисления и 5 июля 1912 года последовало высочайшее повеление о даровании корпусу старшинства со дня основания Войского Казачьего Училища (1-го мая 1813 года).

Корпусный праздник отмечался 1 мая, храмовый — 6 декабря (по старому стилю). За время существования много раз переименовывался

Сибирский (Омский) кадетский корпус — старейшее военное учебное заведение Сибири. Размещался в Омске в здании на Атаманской улице (c 1919 года там располагалось Омское высшее общевойсковое командное дважды Краснознаменное училище им. М. В. Фрунзе, а сейчас — Омский кадетский корпус Министерства обороны)
