Українська: Мікрофотографія зроблена в Інституті зоології ім. І. І. Шмальгаузена НАН України; використано дослідницький мікроскоп Zeiss Axio Imager M1 та програмне забезпечення Zeiss AxioVision v.4.63. Зріз зафарбований гематоксилін-еозином та альціановим синім (за Стідманом, 1950).
English: With its oral apparatus modified, i. e. suckermouth, Ancistrus dolichopterus attaches to substratum and scrapes periphyton from undewater objects.
Microphotograph of the section was obtained in the Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology, NAS of Ukraine, by using Zeiss Axio Imager M1 microscope and Zeiss AxioVision v.4.63 software. Section was stained with hematoxylin-eosin and alcian blue stain (according to Steedman, 1950).
