Description
Українська: Більше п'яти з половиною століть налічує історія селища Підкаміня (1441). З назвою Підкамінь пов'язано чи мало легенд. Один переказ розповідає про те, як один богатир приніс із гір скелю та поставив її на місці, де буде заснована фортеця. Історики довели, що переказ абсолютно правильний вірніше друга його частина. В княжі часи на камені й справді стояло дерев'яне укріплення. Подекуди все ще помітні вирубані в камені древні пази. Це друга т. зв. наскельна оборонна споруда історичних давніх часів. Мало досліджена на відміну від фортеці Тустані. Знаходиться у селищі міського типу Підкамінь Бродівського району Львівської області. Підкамінь розташований на мальовничому узгір’ї посеред височин Волино-Подільського пограниччя. Територія знаходиться в межах Вороняцького і Кременецького кряжів, які, простягаючись із заходу на схід, нагадують гірський хребет з висотами, що перевищують 400 м над рівнем моря. На південь звідси височить горбогірне пасмо мальовничих Подільських Товтр або по народому Медобори.
