Description

English: Church of St. Alexander Nevsky, resting place of Mikhail Pavlovich Miklashevsky; village of Ponurovka, 2021.

This church is located in the village of Ponurovka, Starodubsky district, Bryansk region, on the territory of the village cemetery.

The church was founded in 1678 and was previously located in another part of the village. In 1745, it was renovated, and in 1831, it was moved by the will of Senator M. P. Miklashevsky to the grave of his eldest son, Alexander. During the relocation, it was rebuilt in new forms. The temple can undoubtedly be called a rare example of a small wooden temple tomb in the Bryansk region, made in the Empire style.
