עברית: ביום א' דחנוכה ה'תשנ"ד פורסם "גילוי דעת וקריאת קודש מאת מרנן ורבנן שליט"א מועצת גדולי התורה" בו נכתב "דמי אחינו בני ישראל - הנופלים כמעט מידי יום ברחבי ארצנו הקדושה, בידי בני עוולה ערבים ימ"ש - צועקים אלינו, ואין אנחנו יכולים לחשות. זאת ועוד: נצטווינו בתוה"ק "לא תעמוד על דם רעך", ולא נוכל לכן להישאר שאננים לנוכח הסכנה הגדולה שמהווה יישומו של ההסכם שחתמה הממשלה עם ארגון המרצחים אש"ף, שעל ידי כך עלולים להיות מופקרים חלילה חייהם של יהודים בכל חלקי ארץ ישראל, רחמנא ליצלן ולישזבן...
מגלים אנחנו איפוא דעתנו בזאת כי עם התנגדותנו הידועה לממשלה מטעמים רוחניים אנו מתנגדים בכל תוקף גם לדרכה הפזיזה והחפוזה של הממשלה בענייני ההסכם המסוכן הזה וכלל המו"מ המדיני על ארץ חמדתנו המובטחת לנו בתורתנו הקדושה. אנחנו קובעים ברורות כי אין טעם לנהל משא ומתן כל זמן שנשפך דם יהודים, וכבר זעק הנביא (ישעי' מ"ח, כ"ב) "אין שלום אמר ה' לרשעים", וכבר אמר דוד מלכנו (תהלים ק"כ, ז') "אני שלום וכי אדבר המה למלחמה"." על מכתב זה חתמו, האדמו"ר ים:ה"ישועות משה" מויז'ניץ, ה"עקבי אבירים" מסדיגורה, מאלכסנדר, רבי מרדכי יפה-שלזינגר, רבי יצחק פלקסר, ה"פני מנחם" מגור, האדמו"ר מערלוי, האדמו"ר ממודז'יץ, וכן רבי בנימין זילבר (מחבר ספר "אז נדברו") ורבי אהרן ברנשטיין (ראש ישיבת "חיי עולם") |
