Description

עברית: בית כנסת בצפונה של בית שאן, על שלוחה של תל איצטבה אשר התגלה בעת חפירה של ברכות חמצון. באתר נחשפו שלושה שלבי בניה מסוף המאה הד' לסה"נ ועד למאה הו' לסה"נ. האולם המרכזי של בית הכנסת רוצף בפסיפס מרשים שחלקו הקרוב לאפסיס מעוטר בארון קודש, מנורות, מחתה ושופר. פסיפס זה מוצג במוזיאון ישראל. כמו כן נמצאה כתובת בכתב שומרוני שהעלתה את האפשרות כי היה זה בית כנסת של קהילת השומרונים בבית שאן, אולם לא נמצאו לכך סימוכין נוספים.
