Description
中文（臺灣）：「下埔社區」位於宜蘭縣頭城鎮，鄰近高速公路頭城交流道及頂埔火車站，「四十甲溼地」即隱身在這個純樸的小聚落之後，因其地勢平坦且低於海平面，田土地質稀軟、地下水位又高，故形成許多「坔田」，每到秋冬時節，充沛的雨量更讓這些田地無法耕作，加上海水倒灌帶來豐富的魚產，於是又變成了「漁塭」。就在「坔仔」與「塭仔」交替之下，形成下埔地區特殊的面貌，因而鳥類也紛紛在此聚集，數量之多不計其數。後因養殖區的設立，廣大的濕地沼澤區，開挖成一池池的魚塭，還有養殖給九孔食用的龍鬚菜，鳥況遂一落千丈。但近年來因養殖業病害嚴重，魚塭漸漸任由荒廢，鳥類聚集有恢復之象，水域也漸有自然靜謐、悠閒恬適的迷人氣息。濕地一旁有條長約一公里的小葉欖仁休閒三路，攀扶交錯的枝椏，綿延成一條迷人的翠綠隧道，四季各有其特殊景緻，是當地人散步騎單車的最佳秘境，也吸引了許多賞鳥人士及釣客的駐足與休憩。
