中文（臺灣）：本文希冀藉回顧哈瑪星的歷史發展，喚醒市民對此地的人文關懷，以重現繁榮。
哈瑪星是今南鼓山地區，即高雄市五福四路、鐵路平交道之交會處以南，至鼓山漁港、魚市場，東至高雄港站，西至哨船頭運河之地。此範圍原為沼澤，日治時期填海造陸，並經都市規劃，成為全臺第一個現代化人工的新市街。此外哈瑪星還有許多「第一」，包括人工運河、火車站、信用組合公有市場、市役所、公立學校、郵政電信總局、警局署等。隨著重要的市政設施都在此，哈瑪星迎來高度發展，但因應都市規劃，市役所、車站的外遷，導致餐飲、運輸、金融、百貨等行業外移，取而代之的是鹽埕區，港口宮能也被前鎮所取代，其逐漸走向平淡。 從上述可知，哈瑪星在人口心街市的基礎上，能夠完整且充分的規劃，使得曾擁有22個高雄市第一，儘管目前盛況不再，但仍可以這些過往的人文景觀為基礎，進一步讓哈瑪星喚發新生。 |
